decodeURI(str)

String

Decodes a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) by replacing each escape sequence, representing a UTF-8 encoding of a character, with the character it represents.

The decodeURI method does not decode the following characters: ":", "/", ";", and "?". Use decodeURIComponent to encode these characters.

decodeURIComponent(str)

String

Decodes a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) componentby replacing each escape sequence, representing a UTF-8 encoding of a character, with the character it represents.

encodeURI(str)

String

Encodes a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) by replacing each instance of certain characters by one, two, or three escape sequences representing the UTF-8 encoding of the character.

The encodeURI method does not encode the following characters: ":", "/", ";", and "?". Use encodeURIComponent to encode these characters.

Encodes a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) component by replacing each instance of certain characters by one, two, or three escape sequences representing the UTF-8 encoding of the character.

fromCharCode(num)

String

Converts an ASCII character code code into a string variable.

parseFloat(str)

Number

Parses a floating-point number from string value.

parseInt(str)

Number

Parses an integer from a string, using the given radix. If radix is not specified, then:

  • If value starts with "0x" or "0X", a radix of 16 is used

  • If value starts with "0", a radix of 8 is used

  • Otherwise a radix of 10 is used
